WoW Forever Holiday Rotation Guide (2026): Event Calendar

Complete WoW Forever 2026 holiday rotation guide. Event calendar, Noblegarden, Midsummer, Harvest Festival, Love is in the Air, and what each rewards.

The WotLK holiday rotation is five events spread across the year, each with its own quest chain, its own rare spawn, and its own permanent reward — and on a private server they are the events most likely to be running when you log in, because they are scheduled content rather than the permanent world. Players who know the calendar treat the year as a plan; players who do not wander into an event three weeks after it ended and wonder why the NPC is not there.

This guide is for WoW Forever players in 2026 who want to follow the seasonal content. By the end, you’ll know every holiday, what it rewards, and how to check your server’s schedule.

—

Why the holiday rotation matters

Three things make the holidays worth planning around on a private server:

  1. The rewards are permanent and account-wide. A holiday mount or pet does not expire.
  2. The events are limited-time. If you miss the window, you wait a year (or however long your server’s cycle is).
  3. They are scheduled, so you can plan. Unlike a raid boss, a holiday’s date is known in advance — you just have to know it.

The practical implication: check the event calendar at the start of each season, and set a reminder for anything you care about.

The five holidays

Noblegarden (Spring)

The spring event, around April.

  • The quest chain: you collect eggs and flowers from nobles around the world and complete the Noblestrawn celebration.
  • The rare spawn: Noble Garden (a rare rabbit) drops the “Noble’s Bolt” and other items.
  • The reward: the “Noble’s Shirt” (a shirt with the Noblegarden design), the “Noble’s Pendant”, and — importantly — a title.

The notable reward: Noblegarden gives a title (“Noble of the Noblegarden”), which is one of the few titles available outside of PvP and raids.

The alternative path: the “Noble’s Shirt” can be bought from the Noblegarden vendor for 100 Nobility tokens (the event currency), and the tokens come from turning in the items the quest chain gives you.

Love is in the Air (February)

The shortest and most lucrative event, usually one week.

  • The quest chain: “A Little Romance” — a chain of love letters and gifts across the major cities.
  • The rare spawn: “The Widow’s Might” / “A Brokenhearted Cube” quest chain, rewarding the Celestial Turtle pet.
  • The reward: the Celestial Turtle (one of the best pets in the game), the “Lovely Flower”, and a Darkmoon Faire item.

Why it matters: the Celestial Turtle is one of the most valuable pets in WotLK, and the event window is the shortest of the year. Commit to it fully.

Harvest Festival (September–October)

The longest and most social event, around four weeks.

  • The quest chain: a multi-week chain of harvest offerings, ending with the Pilgrim’s Pledge and the turkey mount.
  • The reward: the turkey mount (a genuinely popular transmog), the “Harvest Festival” food buff, and a pet.

The Pilgrim’s Pledge turkey is the headline — it requires the chain, and it is one of the most sought-after cosmetics in the game.

Midsummer (Summer, June–July)

The summer event, and the shortest-lived.

  • The quest chain: the “Burning of Midsummer” brazier — you carry a flame from one brazier to the next, and the chain ends in a fire elemental boss fight.
  • The rare spawn: the “Midsummer” rare (the “Elder Stranglethorn” encounter), dropping the “Midsummer Crown” and the “Twilight” recipes.
  • The reward: the Midsummer Crown (a head item), a pet, and the “Twilight” recipes.

The Midnight Sea battleground — the “Eye of the Storm” style battleground, a 5v5 with the elemental theme — is also part of Midsummer and is a genuinely fun and different experience.

Winter Veil (December–January)

The biggest and most generous event.

  • The quest chain: a dozen small dailies across the major cities, culminating in the “Giant Snowball” toy and the “A Rare Short Snowball” chain.
  • The rare spawn: the “A Rare Snowball” and the “Gnome for a Day” buff.
  • The reward: the “Little Icicle” / Snowy Owl mount (from the snowball chain), a “Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot”, discounted mounts and pets, and the Winter Veil Presents.

Winter Veil is the one event worth planning a whole evening around — the daily chain is long, and the snowball chain is a genuine skill/patience test.

The year in order

| Month | Event | The headline reward | The window |

|—|—|—|—|

| February | Love is in the Air | Celestial Turtle pet | ~1 week |

| April | Noblegarden | Noble title, Noble’s Shirt | ~1 week |

| June–July | Midsummer | Midnight Sea BG, Midsummer Crown | ~2 weeks |

| September–October | Harvest Festival | Turkey mount | ~4 weeks |

| December–January | Winter Veil | Snowy Owl mount, toys | ~3 weeks |

The pattern: the events with the best rewards (Love is in the Air, Winter Veil) have the shortest windows. They are also the most likely to be missed, because they are announced in a Discord channel that only the active players read.

The Darkmoon Faire and other non-holiday events

Not part of the holiday rotation, but worth knowing:

  • The Darkmoon Faire runs on a weekly rotation and is not a holiday at all. See the WoW Forever Darkmoon Faire Guide (2026).
  • The “Guild Event” / anniversary event — some private servers run a custom anniversary event with a unique world boss and a commemorative item. This is entirely server-specific and it is usually the best event on the calendar.
  • The Wintergrasp event — the server-wide PvP event, usually seasonal. See the WoW Forever Wintergrasp Event Guide (2026).

The key distinction: the Darkmoon Faire and Wintergrasp are recurring, so you will get another chance. The five holidays are annual, so a missed window is a real loss.

How to check your server’s schedule

The three places to look

  1. The server Discord or Telegram — the announcement channel. Holiday events are announced here first, usually a week or two ahead.
  2. The server’s website or launcher — some servers publish an event calendar.
  3. The in-game calendar — WotLK’s calendar shows some events, but private servers often do not populate it.

The four questions to ask

  1. Does your server run the full holiday rotation? Some only run Winter Veil and Love is in the Air, and skip the others entirely.
  2. What are the exact dates? A private server’s calendar is often compressed — several holidays in one month.
  3. Do the event vendors work? This is the common failure. The events run, the quest chains work, but the vendor with the rewards is not implemented. Check before you grind.
  4. Are the event rewards the original ones? Some servers run the original (better) versions, some run the nerfed later versions.

The one thing to always verify

> Before you spend a week grinding an event’s reputation or quest chain, confirm the reward vendor exists.

This is the single most common private server disappointment. The event content is usually implemented because it comes with the game data; the vendor requires extra work, and it is often the piece that gets skipped.

Planning the year

A practical approach

  1. Add the server’s Discord to your phone and turn on notifications for the announcements channel. This is the entire strategy.
  2. At the start of each event window, check three things: is the event running, does the vendor work, and what is the reward.
  3. Do the dailies every day of the window. Holiday chains are per-day, and the permanent rewards are at the end.
  4. Buy the currency items early. The vendors rotate, and the mount or pet you want may be gone by the end of the window.
  5. Do the rare spawn hunt. The rares are the best items and they are the hardest part.

The per-event checklist

A repeatable checklist you can run for any holiday:

  • [ ] Vendor exists and stocks the reward?
  • [ ] Daily quest chain started?
  • [ ] Rare spawn located?
  • [ ] Event currency spent before the vendor rotates?
  • [ ] Title/mount/pet obtained?

Frequently Asked Questions

Does WoW Forever run all the holidays?

Server-specific. Most run at least Winter Veil and Love is in the Air, because those are the biggest and most famous. Some run the full rotation. Ask your admin or check the Discord.

Which holiday has the best reward?

Love is in the Air for the Celestial Turtle pet, and Winter Veil for the Snowy Owl mount. The Harvest Festival turkey is the most popular cosmetic.

Why can I not find the event NPC?

Either the event is not currently running (they rotate on a schedule), or your server does not implement that event. Check the Discord announcement channel first — the event NPC is not there outside the window.

Do the holiday event vendors work on private servers?

Often not, and this is the key thing to verify. The event content usually works; the reward vendor is the piece most often missing. Check before grinding.

Are the holiday rewards worth the time?

Yes — the mounts and pets are permanent, the titles are permanent, and the event windows are short. Love is in the Air in particular is worth a solid evening.

What is the Midnight Sea battleground?

The Midsummer PvP battleground — a 5v5 with a fire-and-water theme and a “capture the elemental” style objective. It is a genuinely different BG from the standard ones, and it is only available during Midsummer.

Can I still get a holiday reward after the event ends?

Usually no — the vendors and the rare spawns are gone. Some servers keep the vendor up permanently, which is worth checking.

Which holiday should I prioritise if I only have time for one?

Love is in the Air. It is the shortest window, it has the best pet, and missing it means waiting a full year.

Conclusion

The holiday rotation is the only content in WotLK where the window is genuinely limited, and on a private server it is also the content most likely to be running when you have free time. The key points:

  1. Five holidays: Love is in the Air (Feb), Noblegarden (Apr), Midsummer (Jun-Jul), Harvest Festival (Sep-Oct), Winter Veil (Dec-Jan).
  2. The best rewards have the shortest windows — Love is in the Air and Winter Veil.
  3. Check that the reward vendor works before you grind. This is the #1 private server disappointment.
  4. Do the dailies every day of the window and spend the event currency early.
  5. The Darkmoon Faire and Wintergrasp are recurring, so a missed one is not a loss.

The core skill is being in the announcement channel. The event dates are known in advance and the content is unchanged from retail — the entire difficulty is knowing when the window opens, and the people who never get a holiday reward are not the ones who were busy, they are the ones who were not in the Discord. Two minutes of setup (notifications on the announcements channel) is the difference between a collection and an empty mount slot.

If you’re doing the holidays on WoW Forever in 2026:

  1. Turn on Discord notifications today.
  2. Check the vendor before you grind.
  3. Prioritise Love is in the Air.
  4. Do the dailies every day.
  5. Spend the currency before it rotates.

Notifications on, vendor checked, dailies done daily. That’s the holiday rotation.
