WoW Forever Beta Launch Day Preparation Guide

Beta has been live for 3 days and the official launch is November 4, 2026 at 3:00 PM PST. This guide covers everything you need to know to prepare for launch day — character creation priorities, race/class picks, server selection, and first-day strategy.

Launch day strategy (November 4, 2026)

Pre-launch (12:00 PM PST)

1. Open launcher 3 hours before launch
2. Pre-select server (avoid queue time)
3. Check your account (subscription active, packs purchased)
4. Have character name ready (backup names too)

Launch moment (3:00 PM PST)

1. Login immediately (be among first 1000)
2. Character creation:

• Pick Skyborne (highest pick rate)
• Choose faction (Alliance 53% / Horde 47%)
• Pick class (Mage most popular, but Undead Paladin best PvP)
• Customize appearance (takes 30-60 sec)

1. Confirm character (commits to server + name)

First 30 minutes

Undead Paladin

• First hour: Create character, get to capital
• Hours 2-4: Leveling + dungeon spam
• Hours 5-8: Hit level 18-20
• First-day goal: Level 20 + Retribution spec

Skyborne Druid

• First hour: Zephras Isle + shapeshift forms
• Hours 2-4: Travel + level to 13
• Hours 5-8: Dungeon spam to level 20
• First-day goal: Level 20 + Travel Form learned

First-week priorities (post-launch)

Day 2-3

• Reach level 20 (most players)
• Complete all level 20 quests
• Run BG a few times (Honor Rank 1)
• Get first mount (~100g)

Day 4-7

• Run all dungeons (Hall of Thanes + Ruins of Lordaeron)
• Reach Revered with at least one reputation
• Start gold reserve (200-500g by week 1 end)

Week 2+

• Get Phase 2 content (level 30 cap raises)
• Excavation Site spam (when Phase 2 opens)
• Build pre-bis gear set
• Join a guild (for raid progression)

PvE Normal on a mega-server (Faerlina, Heartseeker, Skyfury) for best experience.

Should I play Skyborne or classic race?

Skyborne — 45% of players will roll it. Easier to find groups.

Should I queue as DPS or tank/healer?

Tank or Healer for instant queues. DPS has long waits.
